Two Dollar Decor

I LOVE the whole Valentine's Day celebration. I love any reason to celebrate. I especially enjoy an occasion that focuses around two of my favorite things- Love and the color pink!

So, of course I wanted to decorate our apartment with Valentines Decor. I searched at multiple stores for reasonably priced valentine's decorations, but being on a newlywed budget, they all seemed a bit ridiculously priced.

I was determined to make my own for as cheap as possible. I think 2 dollars is pretty darn good!

One Dollar packet of Construction Paper from the dollar store. (That's 36 sheets for $1!)

Then I took out all the pink, red and white pages. I used heart shaped cookie cutters to trace the shapes. Each color had it's own size. I also already had some string in my craft bucket.

Then I just taped the hearts to the string, and ta dah- a cute little valentines banner. I made one for each wall.

On one of them I cut out big hearts and wrote love sayings with a fun silver Sharpie.

How are you preparing for Valentines Day?
