I asked a few neighbors and somehow they were all out too. I was about to breakdown and go to the store, but then I remembered that I had heard once you could substitute 1 ripe banana for 1 egg in a recipe. Scott thought it was a bad idea, but I was curious and luckily had two ripe bananas.
The result was possibly the best Chocolate, Slightly Banana, cookies I have ever tasted. Surprisingly moist and delicious. Soooooooo easy to make. Plus a little healthier right?
So here's my recipe for Chocolate, Slightly Banana, Cookies....
Just 3 ingredients! Just fantastic.
1 package Chocolate cake mix
(You could mix it up and try different flavor cake mixes)
1/3 Cup Vegetable oil
2 ripe bananas
In one bowl combine the cake mix and oil
in another, mash the bananas (I did it with a fork)
Get the bananas as smooth as you can
Now mix in the banana mash into the cake and oil mix.
I know this isn't the prettiest picture...
I was trying to shape them like footballs.
But, make 1 inch balls of dough flattened a bit with a spoon
Bake them at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
The less time you cook them, the more gooey they are in the middle. They still set up if you let them cool.
This step is optional, but I frosted them to look like footballs.
The frosting did add a nice touch though.
Really though, they're Super good! Try them!
And then let me know how they turned out:)
