Decorating for Christmas on a newlywed budget is difficult for me because if I could, I would go absolutely crazy with decorations. But I'm pretty happy with how our little home looks :)
I decorated the tree with dollar store ornaments (minus the big ben ornament we got as a wedding gift).
I'm kind of obsessed with the tree skirt I found at TJMaxx. The garland in front of the TV was created from a wreath I bought at goodwill, disassembled and stretched straight. The gold and white trees on either side of the TV are made from paper and styrofoam. I love the way they turned out! (Warning, they took FOREVER!). Scott and I had fun cutting out the snowflakes together one night. And it was all inspired by the glitter gold Merry Christmas sign from my shop :)
I L O V E C H R I S T M A S !
P.S. Here's a pic of how I made the paper Christmas trees. Make sure to use wood glue if you use styrofoam:)
I cut out pieces of paper in kind of petal shapes, curled them using a pencil and glued them on in rows.
You could use just one color paper or as many different colors as you want. This would go twice as fast if you had a punch about this size.
