Hello lovelies! My name is Jessica and I'm so excited to do a little introduction on Elise’s blog! I blog over at Love, Love, Love, and while it’s primarily a fashion and style blog, I like to throw in tasty recipe posts, pictures of me and my hubby, and cute DIY projects here and there.
Elise has asked me to answer a few questions about myself (for more about me and my hubby, see this post) so here it goes:
1. How did you get into blogging?
Hmm…that’s a good one! I think I first started looking at fashion blogs with my college roommates. It wasn’t very frequent, though. Right before Jordan and I got married I started a little blog about us (see my first post here!), but it was nothing more than updates on our lovey-dovey-ness!
Then a few months after we got married, I was talking with a co-worker about how she should start a fashion blog. Talking about blogging and outfits and style got me really excited, so I started incorporating outfits into my posts. Sooner or later I was posting outfits regularly! I really owe it to that co-worker for giving me the confidence to turn Love, Love, Love into what it is today.
2. Where did your blog name come from?
My blog name came very easily actually! I wanted it to be unique to Jordan and I, so I named it after one of our favorite songs, “Love, Love, Love” by Avalanche City. We used this song at our reception and it has the best beat. Plus, people say “I love, love, love that coat or that shirt” all the time, so it just stuck! It signifies my 3 loves: fashion, life, and food.
3. Where do you pull inspiration for you outfits and your posts?
I’m always looking for inspiration! Whether it’s at a restaurant or at a store, I’m constantly noticing people’s clothes. They probably think I’m a weird, but I find the best inspiration from people in real life. I also love Pinterest and other fashion blogs. Some of my favorite blogs are Pink Peonies, Little Miss Fearless, and Kendi Everyday.
4. Where is your favorite place to shop?
Honestly, thrift stores! I mean it’s the greatest idea ever! People sell their gently used clothes, when nothing is wrong with them, and you buy name-brand pieces for a great deal. Nothing beats it. I try to not pay full price when shopping, so thrift stores are my weakness. I’m all about finding trendy pieces at a decent price. I am a firm believer in not breaking the bank to look your best.
But when I am willing to pay full price, my all-time favorite stores are Forever 21, H&M, Old Navy, and JC Penney.
5. What is your favorite food?
That’s another hard one. Do I have just one favorite? For a meal, I love Café Rio salads. They are to die for! Plus they always give you so much that you can eat half of the salad for lunch the next day.
I also have a huge sweet tooth though, so I love frozen yogurt or ice cream for dessert.
6. What is a random thing about yourself that most people don't know?
I’ve never been east of Utah! I’ve been to Disneyland like 10 times, but never anywhere east. I’m excited to go to New York next summer with my hubby and finally see some new places J
