I've been wanting to decorate my house for fall, but I've been putting it off because all the cute decor I want is a little too pricey for our newlywed budget. But I was feeling super crafty last night (also inspired by Kati's cute decorated house) so I set out to make some fall decor! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!:)
I searched high and low for some plain fake pumpkins and finally found some at Hobby Lobby. They were a bit more than I wanted to spend, but with discounts and coupons I left the store with everything I needed (pumkins, paint and brushes) for 30 bucks. Not too bad.
The rest is pretty self explanatory. I painted one of the pumpkins with two light coats of metallic gold and the other cream. Once they dried I painted a big H in a fun font with cream and big gold polka dots on the other.
I was planning on putting these in front of our front door, but I like them so much I might just leave them as the centerpiece for our kitchen table so I can look at them all the time:)
I've got the crafting bug now, and you might just see some more fall crafts on the blog in the near future!
Happy Fall!
